Asela Perera is the Vice President and General Manager of the National Security Business Unit at Zolon Tech Inc., responsible for driving growth, delivery, and client satisfaction across mission-critical IT programs for the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, State, Energy, and Treasury. With 15 years at Zolon Tech and over 20 years of experience in IT solutions, Asela has played a pivotal role in securing over $400 million in federal contracts, leading IT modernization, cloud transformation, AI/ML integration, and cybersecurity initiatives.

A seasoned technology leader, Asela has instrumental in securing high-impact programs, including Department State ITSS ($102M), Department State AMS ($20M), HHS DME ($98M), SSA IT Service Management ($35M), Army PREP ($54m), and DIA ESITE, implementing DevSecOps, Zero Trust security, and cloud-native solutions. He has led Zolon’s AWS GovCloud practice, secured AWS Cloud competencies, and pioneered AI/ML applications to enhance cybersecurity and operational resilience. Asela holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity Operations and Analytics from Penn State University and multiple industry certifications, including MIT AI/ML, NVIDIA Generative AI, AWS Solutions Architect, and Red Hat Certified Specialist. His leadership continues to position Zolon Tech at the forefront of national security IT transformation, delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that align with National Security mission objectives.
